Are DJ Khaled Jordans worth the hype? Well, judging from previous releases there is no doubt about that! Read on to learn more
DJ Khaled And Jordans History
We The Best sure knew the best way to be permanently engraved. Right behind the Jumpman logo on the back heels and insoles of Jordan 3 Retro is the We The Best phrase. This release sealed DJ Khaled’s collab with the Jordan Brand, aka the Grateful edition. And they both were definitely feeling grateful enough to drop such epic sneakers. But who were even more grateful were the people that got the chance to secure a pair. So, what happened with this release was that it dropped in extremely limited numbers. And the release wasn’t your usual first come, first served scenario. Khaled’s limited Jordan 3s were randomly given away to people who entered a contest after buying the Grateful album! This way no official drops happened, nor did any pair retail in the market. Only the lucky ones who got a pair now have sneaker treasures. Why treasures? Well, because those same shoes are now worth thousands of dollars on the sneaker resale market.
Let’s take a look back at the resale prices of the three Jordan 3s. We’ll start with Jordan 3 Retro DJ Khaled Grateful which dropped in 2017 in university red and black-cement grey. And now it’s reselling for over $10,000! The following year DJ Khaled dropped two other versions of the Jordan 3 with different blue shades. Another One is now reselling for $6500. While The Father of Asahd, a promotion to the upcoming album he was promoting and a tribute to his son, now resells for $6,601. These two haven’t witnessed official releases as well.
DJ Khaled Jordans: 2022 version
Now the time has finally come. DJ Khaled and the Jordan Brand are dropping their first official sneakers. And this drop is nothing less fascinating than previous ones. The only difference, more like the best part, is that it’s an official release, unlike the 2017’s and 2018’s.
Dropping in Crimson Bliss and Sail, the upcoming DJ Khaled Jordans are hitting the retail market before the end of this year. Two other colorways are dropping as well, Polar and Court Purple. But sadly for us all, they’re Friends and Family-exclusives. But let’s not get greedy, at least we’re finally getting our hands on a DJ Khaled x Jordan masterpiece.
Now, you’re probably wondering what the pairs look like. So, let’s do the honor of introducing them to you. Khaled revealed both colorways in an instagram promo video. The Sail pair features different shades of pink and blue. Sail leather overlays most of the uppers, including the toe box. The midsoles and outsoles alternate between purple and blue. Black comes in like the icing on the cake surrounding a part of the heels. Yellow We The Best and Nike Air logos embroideries take place across either heel.
Crimson bliss has the same flow of color but alternates between peachy orange, silver blue, and cream colors.
A Wrap-Up
Did you know that DJ Khaled is a sneakerhead himself? He actually owns an $8 million sneaker collection? Well, it’s true. So, he of all people must know the struggle every sneakerhead goes through to get a hold of a hyped sneaker. But this called struggle doesn’t have to be in vain as long as you’ve got a sneaker bot by your side. Not any sneaker bot, however, but an efficient one, such as EasyCop Bots. It literally helps you cop any sneakers you want off Footsites. And the upcoming DJ Khaled Air Jordan 5 might just be one of them. And to increase your chances at copping, know your proxies better and join a good cook group.
The upcoming DJ Khaled Jordans are dropping on November 28, 2022, so make sure you stay updated with all sneaker news and release info through our blog!
